Droneports

Infrastructure for the Drone Economy

To enable the scaling of drone technology, communities will require robust and comprehensive infrastructure that encompasses various key components. A top priority is a well-designed and extensive network of communication systems, including reliable wireless connectivity and dedicated air traffic management systems (UTM) to ensure seamless communication and coordination between drones and operators.

Communities will require strategically placed charging stations and battery swap facilities to support the autonomous operation of drones and enable efficient and uninterrupted flight operations. The establishment of droneports in strategic locations will facilitate the safe takeoff, landing, and maintenance of drones. To ensure the safety and security of drone operations, communities will also need advanced surveillance systems, including radar and anti-collision/detect and avoid technologies, to monitor airspace and prevent accidents.

Droneport System Components

Communication System

Drones operating at low altitude, and in complex airspace, need a reliable communications platform in order to operate safely and efficiently.

Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM)

System allows for multiple drone operators to use shared operational airspace. Traffic information is shared using a common platform for drone traffic flow management and deconfliction.
FAQ

Will All Droneports Look The Same?

No, droneport location, function and design will be very community specific.  Things like industry needs, geography (rural -vs- urban), airspace complexity and community priorities will all impact the scale of the droneport capabilities and technology stack necessary to operate it.
CONSULTING SERVICES
Our team of experts can help you think through a droneport development plan that will meet strict FAA requirements, gather industry partners to enhance your droneport project and bring in the appropriate technology partners critical for a reliable and efficient system.
FACILITY MANAGEMENT
We can provide the full infrastructure technology stack needed to safely integrate drone technology into your community’s everyday life. We will lead these teams and work through the droneport development timeline in order to get you to “operational” status as expeditiously as possible.
IMPLEMENTATION
Our team is equipped and experienced enough to deliver your community or organization a turn key droneport solution.  Once the project is up and running, we can also manage and oversee operations in order to decrease the learning curve andreduce timeframe to project sustainability.
